86 militants killed so far this year: Lt Gen Ranbir Singh 

SRINAGAR, May 20: Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, GOC of the Northern Command has said that 86 militants have been killed so far in 2019 and around 20 have been apprehended. He said that many were brought back to the mainstream.

 “GOC-in-Chief Northern Command, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh: During this year we have been able to neutralize 86 terrorists so far & our operations continue in the same manner. Nearly 20 of them have been apprehended, we’ve also been able to bring back many of them to the mainstream,” ANI wrote on Twitter. Singh while talking about that Balakot strikes said that it was a major achievement.

 “Airstrikes by IAF on Balakot terrorist infrastructure was a major achievement, wherein our aircraft went deep into enemy territory and struck terror launchpads. Pakistanis carried out air operations the following day, however, they were given a befitting reply,” he was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
