POLICE IN KUPWARA RECOVERS KIDNAPPED MINOR BOY WITHIN HOURS

December 09: Kupwara police recovered a minor boy within hours after he was kidnapped from Natnussa area of Kupwara.

Police Post Dragmulla received a complaint regarding kidnapping of a minor boy from Natnussa area of the district. On receiving this information, a case FIR No. 272 under relevant sections of law was registered and efforts were made to trace the kidnapped boy.

Initiating swift measures, the officers were able to recover the minor boy within hours of his kidnapping. The boy was handed over to the parents after following the due procedure.

Kidnapper taking advantage of the illiteracy & poverty of the parents had kidnapped the boy on the pretext of preparing IAY Documents.

Officers are investigating the case and efforts are on to track the accused.

Community members are requested to inform the police about the presence of antisocial elements in their neighbourhood. Police have resolved to act tough against such elements and ensure the community members feel safe.
