Four accused in fake highway loot sent on 7 day police remand

Srinagar, Jan 6, : Duty Magistrate Baramulla on Monday, sent four persons involved in a fake loot incident for Police remand till 12th January 2020.

According to news agency, One person namely Javed Ahmed Mir S/O Ghulam Mohi u Din Mir R/O       Tchuker, Pattan in Barmulla district, working with a private organization namely, Ismail Industries, HMT Srinagar, hatched a conspiracy with three persons from his village, namely Ajazmed Parray S/o Assadullah Parray, Hilal Ahmed Dar S/O Ali Mohammad Dar and Sharif u Din S/O Abdul Rehman Dar all residents of Tchuker village of Pattan, to loot him in a fake operation.

Subsequently, when Javed was returning to Srinagar from Baramulla, with heavy cash of the company, he was working in was stopped by the above said three persons near Zangam, on Srinagar Baramulla highway and staged a drama of loot with them.

The fraud was unveiled by Pattan police and all the accused were rounded up and an FIR under No. 4/ 2020 US 341/392/341 IPC was registered against them in Police Station Pattan.

Accused were presented before Duty Magistrate Baramulla by police on Monday, who sent the accused on police remand till 12 January, 2020. (CNS)
