Sgr-Jmu highway a death trap: One killed, three injured in two separate road mishaps at Khooni Nallah

Ramban, March 08: One person was killed while as three others were injured in two seperate road incidents at Khooni Nallah area of Banihal-Ramban stretch on NH-44

An official told that a boulder hit a stationary truck bearing registration No RJ04GB-7727 resulted in on spot death of the driver who has been identified as Rao Dev of Rajasthan.

In an another incident, some stones hot a srinagar bound car bearing registration no JK02AF 0157 resulted in injuries to three persons who were identified as Gulzar Ahmad (20) of Shopian, Muzamil sheikh (35) and Sayer Ahmad (17) both residents of Bihar.

SSP Ramban Haseeb ur Rehman confirmed the incidents as saying that they are clearing the highway at the moment which is blocked due to shooting stones in many areas of the stretch

Meanwhile the vehicular traffic between Jmu-Sgr remained blocked at several places due to landslides and shooting stones triggered by the incessant rainfall at several places between Ramban and Ramsu since yesterday evening reported KNO.
