Army organises Covid-19 awareness, stationary distribution, online drawing competition at upper primary school Panzgam


Srinagar, June 09 (KINS): In continuation to a host of activities to generate awareness amongst the populace the Army Tuesday said that Panzgam army Camp, organized COVID-19 awareness session for teachers & staff of Upper Primary School, Viii Mandoora, Panzgam.

The Army in a statement issued to news agency KINS said that teachers and other staff members were educated about COVID-19 symptoms and preventive measures .
“As a part of efforts of contributing towards child development, along with the school administration the children were provided School Bags, notebooks, stationary items and sanitizers.

The teachers were also provided with masks and hand sanitizers. The Army Camp had recently on the occasion of World Environment Day, organised an online drawing competition with “Biodiversity” theme for children of Upper Primary School, Viii – Mandoora Panzgam” it said “Maximum students of classes 5th to 8th participated in the competition and submitted their entries online keeping in mind the safety precautions in place due to COVID-19.

The students enthusiastically participated in the competition. Creativity of the students was at its best with students expressing their creativity through drawings. Mr Gulam Mustafa Mir, headmaster if the school adjudged and distributed the prizes to the top three winners.

The teachers and students of the school expressed their gratitude for organising such events which provided the students with an opportunity to express their creative talent,” the statement reads.(KINS)
