Jammu Police Apprehends Long-Evading Absconder After 8 Years

Srinagar, Jan 16: In a significant breakthrough, the Police Department in Jammu successfully apprehended Gian Chand, son of Kharati Lal and resident of Bajigar Basti, Bachyal Jaswan, Marh. Chand, who had been on the run for eight years, was sought in connection with a case filed under FIR No.405/13, involving charges under sections 454/380 of the RPC (Ranbir Penal Code) and a General Warrant under section 299 of the CrPC (Code of Criminal Procedure).
The Police team from Domana played a pivotal role in tracking down and arresting Chand, who had managed to evade law enforcement for an extended period. The arrest culminated in a meticulous operation executed by the dedicated officers.

Gian Chand is now slated to be presented before the Court of Law to face the charges brought against him. This arrest underscores the unwavering commitment of the Jammu Police in ensuring justice and upholding the rule of law.
