Srinagar, Jan 18: In a concerted effort to restore defunct street lights across Srinagar City, the Street Lights Maintenance Team of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) is working tirelessly. Since the recent appointment of the new commissioner,Dr Owais Ahmed, IAS, a renewed vigor has been witnessed in the SMC’s approach towards enhancing the city’s aesthetics.
Under the dynamic leadership of the new commissioner, the officials have been directed to collaborate seamlessly and undertake proactive measures for the overall beautification of Srinagar. This initiative encompasses various facets, including street lights, drainage, waste management, and more.
“We are committed to ensuring that every nook and corner of Srinagar is well-lit, contributing to the safety and visual appeal of the city. The team is working in tandem to address defunct street lights promptly,” stated one of the officials, emphasizing the importance of a well-lit urban environment.
