Srinagar, Feb 14: On the solemn occasion marking the third anniversary of the tragic Pulwama terror attack, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, represented by Director General of Police (DGP) Sh. R.R. Swain, extended heartfelt homage to the brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the nation.
In a poignant ceremony, DGP Sh. R.R. Swain led the tribute on behalf of the Jammu and Kashmir Police Pariwar, commemorating the valor and dedication exhibited by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel who lost their lives in the horrific attack on February 14, 2019.
“The sacrifices of CRPF personnel will forever be etched in our hearts. As we remember these heroes, let’s renew our commitment to securing peace,” remarked DGP Sh. R.R. Swain during the homage ceremony.
The Pulwama terror attack, one of the deadliest assaults on Indian soil, claimed the lives of 40 CRPF personnel when a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into their convoy. The incident sent shockwaves across the nation and underscored the resilience and sacrifice of India’s security forces in the face of adversity.
