J&K Police Denies Allegations of Political Harassment

The Jammu and Kashmir Police dismissed claims by political parties of their workers facing harassment, labeling them as baseless. In a statement, the police affirmed their dedication to upholding the law and adhering to MCC guidelines to ensure fair elections.
They highlighted their proactive approach by taking action against individuals from all political backgrounds for various infractions, including the seizure of cash, narcotics, and liquor. Furthermore, the police reiterated their commitment to safeguarding candidates and political workers during rallies and roadshows, irrespective of party affiliation.
While acknowledging criticism as inherent to their profession, the police cautioned against speculative statements targeting individual officers, citing potential security risks. Nonetheless, they affirmed their unwavering dedication to impartial law enforcement.
