Union Budget 2024-2025: A Blueprint for Developed India, Says PM Modi

Srinagar, July 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the Union Budget 2024-2025 as a crucial step towards achieving a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India), highlighting its inclusive growth strategy aimed at benefiting all segments of society.
“The Union Budget 2024-2025 is designed for Viksit Bharat, ensuring inclusive growth that benefits every segment of society and paves the way for a developed India,” Prime Minister Modi stated in a video message. “It brings new opportunities, new energy, new employment, and self-employment opportunities, promising a brighter future for our nation.”
A key feature of the budget is the newly announced Employment Linked Incentive scheme, which the Prime Minister emphasized as a major catalyst for job creation. “The government has announced the Employment Linked Incentive scheme, which will create crores of new jobs in the country,” he noted.
Prime Minister Modi also congratulated the citizens for a budget aimed at driving the nation to new heights of development and praised Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and her team for their efforts.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to transforming India into a global manufacturing hub, the Prime Minister highlighted the vital role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in this vision. “MSMEs are closely linked with the middle class and hold immense employment potential for the poorer segments of society. The new scheme announced in the Budget will increase the ease of credit for MSMEs,” Modi asserted.
He also pointed to enhancements for e-commerce, export hubs, and food quality testing under the One District-One Product program, suggesting that these measures will inject fresh momentum into the initiative.
Highlighting the record exports in the defence sector, PM Modi underscored the budget’s provisions aimed at fostering an ‘Aatmanirbhar’ (self-reliant) defence sector. “This year’s Budget includes numerous provisions to create an ‘Aatmanirbhar’ defence sector. The world’s attraction towards India is constantly on the rise, opening up new avenues for the tourism industry,” he remarked.
In conclusion, Prime Minister Modi’s address encapsulated the optimism and strategic foresight embedded in the Union Budget 2024-2025, positioning it as a transformative roadmap towards a developed and inclusive India.
