ADGP Anand Jain Leads High-Level Security Review Meeting Ahead of Independence Day

Srinagar, July 30:To ensure robust security ahead of Independence Day 2024, ADGP Jammu Anand Jain chaired a high-level security review meeting in Jammu district.
The session aimed at fortifying security measures and saw participation from various stakeholders, including the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), intelligence agencies, police, security wing, and civil administration.
During the meeting, ADGP Jain emphasized the need for heightened vigilance and coordination among all agencies. “Our primary goal is to ensure a safe and secure environment for the citizens during the Independence Day celebrations. We must leave no stone unturned in our preparations,” Jain told the meeting.
Representatives from CAPF, intelligence agencies, and other security forces provided crucial inputs and shared their strategies to mitigate potential threats. The discussions covered a comprehensive security plan, including increased patrolling, surveillance, and deployment of additional forces at sensitive locations.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of public cooperation in maintaining security. “We urge the citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. Their support is vital in our efforts to ensure a peaceful Independence Day,” said an official aware of the meeting.
The security apparatus in Jammu district is on alert, with all agencies working in unison to provide a safe environment for the public.
