Srinagar, Sep 26 (KINS): The Khyber Himalayan Resort & Spa, Gulmarg, in partnership with American Express and managed by Rishi Narain Sports Marketing (RNSM), hosted the first-ever Khyber Cup at the renowned Royal Springs Golf Course. In a press release issued to news agency KINS, Over 100 players from across India gathered to compete in the two-day tournament set against the stunning backdrop of the Zabarwan Range and Dal Lake. The event was part of a broader effort to promote golf tourism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Khalil Tramboo, Director of Pinnacle Resorts and promoter of The Khyber Himalayan Resort, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, saying, “Our vision is to make this a yearly golf tournament that is aspirational and meets international standards of golf events.”
The event was not only a test of golfing prowess but also a celebration of the region’s natural beauty. Tournament Director Rishi Narain commented, “The feedback from visitors was heartening as everyone enjoyed the challenge of the Royal Springs Golf Course, and the tournament surpassed their expectations.”
Golfers competed over two rounds, with scores from both days determining winners across various categories. The tournament’s unique location, paired with world-class amenities at The Khyber Resort, provided a memorable experience for participants and spectators alike.
