Srinagar, Oct 08 (KINS): Union Minister Jitendra Singh praised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for what he termed its best performance ever in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, securing 29 seats so far, with expectations of more as counting continues.
“The BJP’s performance in this election is exceptional,” Singh noted as per news agency KINS, attributing their success to a campaign centered around development.
He credited effective public welfare initiatives introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for delivering results to the populace.
Singh emphasized the party’s commitment to bridging divides of caste, religion, and sect, attributing this inclusive strategy to Modi’s leadership.
He cited programs like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana as beneficial to all citizens, regardless of their backgrounds, contrasting this with the opposition’s India bloc, which he claimed promoted polarization.
In conclusion, Singh committed to further development initiatives, asserting that these efforts would secure Jammu and Kashmir’s crucial role in India’s growth leading up to 2047. While the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference currently leads with 41 seats, the BJP remains resilient with 27 seats, according to the Election Commission of India.(KINS)
