ACB Conducts Anti-Corruption awareness program

Srinagar , Nov 06 : The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Jammu and Kashmir, in collaboration with the District Administration of Srinagar, recently organized an awareness program at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Srinagar as part of the ongoing week-long campaign “CULTURE OF INTEGRITY FOR THE NATION’S PROSPERITY.” This campaign focuses on promoting transparency, reinforcing ethical governance, and fighting corruption across the Union Territory.
The program, attended by officials from the Revenue and Custodian Departments of Srinagar, began with the screening of a documentary launched by the ACB Jammu and Kashmir. The documentary highlighted the bureau’s efforts in combating corruption, showcasing initiatives and strategies to promote accountability. It also featured a special message from various dignitaries, including the Honorable Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Commissioner Secretary Sanjeev Verma, and Director ACB Shakti Kumar Pathak. These leaders emphasized the importance of integrity and transparency in governance.
ACB officers, including SSP ACB Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Wani, discussed measures to tackle corruption-prone areas within the Revenue and Custodian Departments. They also elaborated on the investigative techniques used to implement corrective actions and penal measures. The session adopted an interactive approach, encouraging participant feedback via mobile application questionnaires to improve future anti-corruption initiatives.
The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, who stressed the importance of reducing direct interactions between office-bearers and the public in order to provide hassle-free services while upholding moral and ethical standards. Other key participants included ADC Srinagar Shri Khalid Hussain, ACR Srinagar, DySP Saleem, and officers from ACB Srinagar.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Insp Yasir and a pledge ceremony, where participants committed to combating corruption and upholding ethical standards in public service.
