Resolution on Article 370 in J&K assembly unconstitutional, aimed at inciting separatism : Tarun Chugh

Srinagar , Nov 08 ( KINS ) : BJP National General Secretary and In-charge for Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Tarun Chugh, has declared the J&K Assembly’s resolution on Article 370 to be blatantly illegal and unconstitutional. He accused the coalition government led by Omar Abdullah and the Congress of attempting to revive separatist and violent elements within the Union Territory.
Chugh sharply criticized Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, calling the resolution a “cheap political gimmick” and claiming it demonstrates a lack of focus on J&K’s development. Instead, Chugh asserted, the move seeks to create an atmosphere of terror and violence.
Demanding the immediate withdrawal of the resolution, Chugh emphasized the BJP’s firm stance against any “anti-national or unconstitutional agendas” pushed by the current government. He called on the J&K Assembly Speaker to remain impartial and ensure fair consideration of all perspectives.
Chugh also urged Omar Abdullah to prioritize fulfilling his electoral promises rather than advancing divisive resolutions, accusing the coalition of ignoring crucial development issues. He attributed a rise in terrorist activities to Abdullah’s leadership and described the initial assembly session as wasted on a “separatist, Pakistan-centric agenda.”( KINS )
