Baramulla, November 14: In a move to promote advanced agricultural practices among local farmers, the District Development Commissioner Baramulla ,Minga Sherpa today flagged off a one-day tour for 150 farmers from various tribal areas within the district. The tour, organized under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) 2024-25, will take the farmers to the Centre of Excellence in Zawoora, Srinagar, a leading horticultural training and research facility in the region.
The flag-off ceremony, held at Dakbanglow Baramulla, highlighted the significance of providing farmers with practical exposure to modern horticultural practices and innovations. During the tour, farmers will receive hands-on training and insights into advanced farming techniques, crop management, and sustainable horticultural practices at the Centre of Excellence, which is known for its pioneering work in horticulture.
