Winter preparedness, announces free 3 month ration for fire victims of Dal Lake

Srinagar, Nov 20 (KINS): In a special announcement for the New Year, J&K’s Food Minister Satish Sharma Wednesday said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will receive 12 gas cylinders and an enhanced ration quota as a New Year gift.
As per news agency KINS, speaking with reporters, Sharma said that the administration has made all necessary preparations for the winter season.
Sharma also emphasized that restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir remains a priority, with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah having already engaged with senior leadership in New Delhi. “I believe that Prime Minister Modi is personally committed to restoring statehood, and after that, all other issues will be addressed,” Sharma said.
The Minister requested a span of 11 months to bridge the gaps left over the past 11 years, stressing that while the administrative officers are capable, a few deficiencies remain that will soon be rectified.
