Srinagar, Nov 27 (KINS): In a major step towards dismantling drug trafficking networks, police in Anantnag have attached property worth ₹2 crores under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. This action is part of the ongoing efforts to combat drug abuse and curb the activities of drug peddlers in the region.
The police in Srigufwara, Anantnag, seized a double-storied residential house and one Kanal of land, collectively valued at ₹2 crore, belonging to Mohammad Amin Malik, a resident of Kanalwan. Malik, a repeat offender, was involved in Case FIR No. 113/2021 at Police Station Srigufwara, where a significant quantity of narcotics was recovered.
This action highlights the J&K Police’s relentless commitment to fighting the drug menace, sending a clear message to those involved in narcotics trafficking. By utilizing the provisions of the NDPS Act, the police aim to not only dismantle drug networks but also deter criminal activity linked to narcotic trade.(KINS)
