BJP says Delhi Poll results reflect public rejection of unfulfilled promises
Srinagar, Feb 10 (KINS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday said the outcome of the Delhi Assembly elections highlights how voters reject political parties that fail to deliver on their promises.
“Delhi’s verdict is clear. Governments that don’t fulfill the commitments made in their manifestos are ultimately rejected by the people,” J&K BJP chief spokesperson Sunil Sethi told reporters in Srinagar.
Sethi asserted that the results serve as a reminder to all political parties about the consequences of unmet promises. “The Delhi elections are proof that when promises remain unfulfilled, voters readily choose an alternative,” he said.
Highlighting the BJP’s performance in Jammu and Kashmir, Sethi claimed that the party has successfully implemented 95% of the promises made in its 2014 manifesto. “For 75 years, politics in Jammu and Kashmir strayed from genuine development, leaving people disillusioned by repeated false promises,” he added.
Taking a swipe at the National Conference (NC), Sethi accused the party of failing to deliver on its electoral commitments. “The NC promised free electricity and ration to the people, but even after four months in power, these promises remain unmet. This shows that the NC lacks a clear roadmap to meet the aspirations of the people,” he said.
The BJP spokesperson emphasized that the party’s focus remains on transparent governance and developmental initiatives, contrasting it with what he described as the hollow promises of rival parties.(KINS)
