Boston, August 5(KINS):Addressing the Indo-US Higher Education Summit in Boston, senior BJP leader Ranbir Singh Pathania underscored India’s growing global role, outlining two key priorities — educational leadership and territorial integrity.
Pathania hailed the Modi government’s bold educational reforms, particularly the revival of Nalanda University, describing it as a powerful symbol of India reclaiming its historic legacy as a global knowledge hub.
He as per news agency KINS noted that India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is positioning itself as a ‘Vishwa Guru’ — a nation that blends cultural heritage with modern innovation, while deepening academic ties with the United States to shape a more informed and inclusive future.
Responding firmly to US President Donald Trump’s characterization of Jammu & Kashmir as a “1,000-year-old problem,” Pathania set the record straight:
“Jammu & Kashmir became part of India in 1846 under Maharaja Gulab Singh. There is no dispute. The real issue lies in the illegal occupation of Indian territories — PoJK, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Aksai Chin — by Pakistan and China. Our sovereignty is absolute and non-negotiable.”
He called on the global community to acknowledge the reality of aggression by both nations and to support India’s legitimate claim over its territories.
Concluding his address, Pathania stressed that the India-US partnership must evolve beyond traditional domains like defense and trade, and emerge as a force for global thought leadership, driven by shared values, educational collaboration, and a vision for a better world.(KINS)
