Except light snow over higher reaches of North Kashmir, dry weather across J&K till Oct 26: MeT

Srinagar, Oct 17 (KINS): The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted mainly dry weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir over the next several days, with only a slight chance of light snowfall over isolated higher reaches of North Kashmir around October 21 and 24.

According to the latest forecast update issued by the MeT Centre Srinagar and quoted by the news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS), generally dry weather is expected on October 17, 19, and 20. However, partly to generally cloudy skies are likely during the evenings of October 18, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26.

The forecast also suggests a brief spell of very light snow over some high-altitude areas of North Kashmir on October 21, with another possibility of light snow on October 24. No major weather disturbance is anticipated during this period.

The department has issued an advisory for farmers, urging them to continue regular agricultural activities as the prevailing dry conditions remain favorable.

The MeT Centre added that the overall weather pattern is expected to stay stable and mostly dry, offering relief to farmers and travelers across the region, particularly as winter approaches. (KINS)
