Omar Abdullah confident of National Conference victory in Budgam Bypoll

Srinagar, Nov 10 (KINS): On the eve of the Budgam assembly bypoll, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed confidence that the National Conference will secure victory in Tuesday’s election.

Speaking to reporters in Awantipora, Abdullah as per news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) said, “We are confident of a win. We have worked hard, and now it’s for the people to decide.”

The bypoll was necessitated after Abdullah vacated the Budgam seat last year, choosing to retain Ganderbal, which he also won in the 2024 assembly elections.

When asked about the recent recovery of arms and ammunition by police, including from two doctors, the Chief Minister said he had no information on the matter.(KINS)
