Srinagar, July 07 (KINS): In the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, five terrorists were killed in two separate encounters that began on Saturday. The clashes also resulted in the deaths of two soldiers, including a para-trooper, and left another soldier injured.
The first encounter occurred in Modergam village when security forces, comprising the CRPF, Army, and local police, initiated a search operation based on intelligence about the presence of terrorists. During the initial exchange of gunfire, a para-trooper was fatally wounded. The operation escalated into a full-scale assault on a house where the terrorists had taken shelter.
