Chief Minister Omar flags off ‘Run for Unity’ at SKICC Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 29 (KINS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah flagged off the ‘Run for Unity’ program at the scenic back lawn of SKICC, Srinagar today.
News agency KINS reported that the event, drawing a diverse crowd, witnessed the participation of officials from the civil administration, police, and CRPF, along with a significant number of young men and women who joined in to show their support.
The event began at 7 am with the playing of the national anthem.
Young participants, brimming with enthusiasm, marked the day with their high energy, while senior officials and dignitaries mingled with the crowd, underscoring the unity message behind the run.
The authorities expressed happiness and emphasized the role of unity in fostering peace and development in the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
They also extended gratitude to everyone who made the event possible, highlighting the joint efforts of civil administration and security forces in ensuring the event’s success.
The Jammu and Kashmir traffic police yesterday issued a traffic advisory, to ensure smooth traffic flow during the “Run for Unity” event in Srinagar.(KINS)
