32 candidates filed nominations for office bearers and executive members of Press Club

Thirty two candidates have filed nominations on Saturday for the four posts of office bearers and the seven posts of the executive committee of the Kashmir Press Club (KPC), which will hold firstever election on July 15.


Journalists Haroon Rashid Shah, Shuja-ul-Haq and Zulfikar Majid have filed nominations for the post of President.
Journalists Syed Tajamul Islam, Wasim Khalid and Moazum Muhammad have filed nominations for the post of Vice President.
Journalists Riyaz Ahmad Malik, Ishfaq Ahmad Tantry and Hakeem Irfan Rasheed have filed nominations for the General Secretary post.


Journalists Arshad Rasool and Farooq Javed have filed nominations for the Treasurer post.


Journalists Vajeh Ahmad Andrabi, Farooq Wani, Shabir Malik, Irfan Ahmad Qureshi, Mehraj Mir, Shafat Kira, Gowhar Manzoor, Muzaffar Ahmad Khan, Altaf Baba, Gowhar Geelani, Auqib Javeed, Habib Naqash, Nissar Ahmad Bhat, Nazir Ahmad Makhdoomi, Arshad Ahmad Mir, Bilal Furqani, Parvaiz Bukhari, Shams Irfan, Anees Zargar, Firdous Ahmad Dar and Arshad Hussian Shah have filed nominations for the seven-member executive body.


The candidates can withdraw nominations up to July 10 by 5 p.m.


The elections will be held on July 15 from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m.
