Police-public meeting held at Nehru Park in Srinagar

 

March 12: Police-public meeting was held at Zaika Restaurant, Nehru Park with respectable citizens of the area including members of House Boat Association, Shikara Association, Mohalla Presidents & other respectables with an aim to strengthen the police-public relations.

The meeting was chaired by SDPO Nehru Park accompanied by SHO Ram Munshi Bagh & incharge Police Post Nehru Park.

During interaction, the participants highlighted various issues of public importance like drug menace, gambling, theft, traffic mess near hotel Hemal and requirement of fire and emergency services.

SDPO Nehru Park assured the participants that the issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities at an earliest for their redressal.

The participants were requested to keep a close liaison with the beat incharges & officers posted in the area.They were also requested to keep cooperating with police, so that peace and tranquility is maintained in the area.
The meeting concluded on a positive note.
