Masjid gutted in fire incident in Bandipora

Bandipora, June 22: A mosque was gutted in a fire incident on Saturday morning at Nowpora Market in Bandipora town.

Officials said fire broke out in the third floor of Masjid-e-Noor near Naz Colony causing massive damage.

Locals and fire tender rushed to the spot and prevented the fire from spreading to nearby locality. The third floor, however, was completely gutted in the fire incident.

The cause of the fire is being ascertained and police have taken cognizance. The masjid is also the Zila Markaz of Tableeg-e-Jamat in Bandipora.
