Home Minister Amit Shah today proposed to extend President’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir by six months.

“I propose that Presidents rule in Jammu and Kashmir should be extended by 6 months,” Shah said in Lok Sabha after his two-day visit to J-K.

Shahs also infomred the House that in the elections in the state will be held towards the end of this year.

“The Election Commission has decided to hold assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir towards the end of this year,” Shah said.
