KINS Desk

Srinagar, June 12(KINS): A 32-year-old woman was injured on Friday as Pakistan troops violated the ceasefire by resorting to shelling and firing on forward posts and villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri town, officials said.

A police official told news agency KINS that a 32-year-old woman identified as Parveen Begum wife of Shabir Ahmad Shiekh of Nambla Fatawali was injured when a shell exploded near her house. The officer said few families were rescued from Silikote to the main town Uri.

Pertinently, five residential houses were damaged last week in the Hajipeer sector after neighbours exchanged gunfire along the line of control LOC.(KINS)
