Police pay tributes to cop shot dead in Bijbehara

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday paid tributes to the personal security officer (PSO) of Peoples Democratic Party leader Sajad Mufti who was shot dead earlier today outside a mosque in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir.

Farooq Ahmad was standing guard outside a mosque in Baba Mohalla in Bijbehara when he was shot dead by the gunmen. Mufti was offering prayers at the mosque when the attack took place.
“Wreath laying #ceremony for our colleague #MartyrFarooq held at DPL #Anantnag. #Police officers led by IG #Kashmir laid floral wreaths on his #mortal remains & paid rich #tributes to the #martyr for supreme #sacrifice made in the #line of #duty. @JmuKmrPolice @AnantnagPolice,” police said in a tweet.
