Srinagar Police arrests 02 bootleggers;

 Illicit liquor recovered

March 14: Police in Srinagar have arrested two bootleggers and recovered 48 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession.

Officers at a checkpoint established near Hotel international Srinagar, intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK14C 6299 with two persons on board. Officers recovered 48 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession. Vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.

A case FIR No. 22/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Ram Munshi Bagh. Both the bootleggers have been arrested and shifted to Police Station Ram Munshi Bagh where they remain in custody.

Locals have lauded the efforts of Police and appealed to continue such drives in future as well. Police has resolved to act tough against inimical elements.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding anti social elements in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in anti social activities will be dealt as per law.
