Judicial officers, employees contribute in High Court Welfare Fund created for Corona Virus victims


UDHAMPUR, APRIL 10: Judicial officers and employees posted in Udhampur district today contributed rupees 2,55,748/- to the newly created welfare fund for corona virus victims by Chief Justice of J&K High Court.


As per direction of High Court, District Judges contributed Rupees 15,000 each while Sub Judges contributed rupees 10,000 each and all Munsiff Judges contributed Rs. 7500 each. All the Gazetted officers posted in the district court contributed Rs.5000 each while all Non-gazetted staff posted in Subordinate Courts contributed one day’s gross salary.


Keeping in view the prohibitions and impact of the outbreak, the High Court has emphasized that the collection of the funds shall be utilized for the welfare of the corona victims. Principal District and Session Judge M.L Manhas today credited the amount in the Bank Account created for the purpose under intimation to the Registrar General.
