Secretariat employees to be accommodated in hotels away from Red Zones

Srinagar, April 28 (KINS): As Civil Secretariat will be partially open in Srinagar, authorities have directed Estates Department to ensure accommodation of employees in hotels away from Red Zones.

As per the official details available with news agency KINS, the wearing of mask is mandatory for employees.

“The Director Estates shall ensure that the masks shall be provided to the employees who are visiting the Civil Secretariat. Estates Department shall ensure the accommodation of the employees at the hotels outside the Red Zones,” the documents read.

Estates Department has been directed to place sanitizers and masks at important locations of the premises besides ensure distribution of free masks at main entry gate on daily basis to the visitors.

SMC has been directed to conduct fumigation drive on daily basis in the premises and other Move related offices besides in SRTC vehicles which are dedicated for the Darbar employees.

Officials have also been directed to ensure that every person enters the Civil Secretariat through sanitizing tunnels.

Departments have been directed that the renovation and repair work at Civil Secretariat and in all government residential quarters is completed well in time besides facilities like potable water, power, ration, sanitation and other measures are made available and thermal screening counters at premises and related offices are installed. Roads and Buildings Department has been asked to repair all roads leading to the Secretariat and other related offices at an earliest.

To ensure social distancing, Estates Department has been told to deploy sufficient staff in the premises. SRTC has to board minimum number of commuters in a vehicle for daily transportation and all seats has to be properly marked for sitting purposes to ensure social distancing.(KINS)
