Srinagar, August 06(KINS) : Militants Thursday morning shot dead a BJP sarpanch in Vessu area of South Kashmir’s Qazigund.
The deceased sarpanch has been identified as Sajad Ahmad Khanday.
Reports reaching Kashmir Indepth said, militants this morning opened fire on him near his house, resulting in critical injuries to him, however he was rushed to nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injures.
Meanwhile, whole area has been cornoded off by forces to nab the attackers.(KINS)
