Shopian, August 06 : A Naib Tehsildar from Shopian died due to Covid-19 on late Wednesday evening, officials said.
As per the reports, Naib Tehsildar, a resident of Mollu Shopian, admitted in the SKIMS hospital died there.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Shopian Yashin Choudhary has expressed grief over the death a government employee due to Covid-19.
“It’s with huge grief that we share the demise of our Naib Tehsildar, after he lost a battle against Covid-19 yesterday at SKIMS. He was a gentle, hardworking man and an asset of the District. May Allah swt grant him Jannat. Aamen”, he wrote on Twitter.
