72nd DLRC/DCC meeting held in Budgam

BUDGAM, SEPTEMBER 10: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza who is also the Chairman of DLRC today chaired 72nd District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting here.

Addressing the meeting, the DC said that recently launched Jan Abhiyaan programme that commenced from 10th of September 2020 up to 30th of September will provide an opportunity to give impetus as well as capability for broader implementation of government sponsored schemes and in addition it will also provide time to sponsor more cases and their onward timely disposal.

He said there shall be no laxity or leniency while attending the cases having potential to generate huge employment opportunities.

The DC further instructed that line departments taking on board all concerned banks will have the opportunity during Jan Abhiyaan period to conduct camps at requisite locations that will facilitate instant disposal of the sponsored cases.

He while observing the performances of the previous quarter emphasized that more push is required on priority sector lending particularly for the key sectors of agriculture, horticulture, handicrafts, handloom and education.

The DC instructed all line departments to review and revisit rejected cases, so that these are re-sponsored if found viable and also directed them to ensure achieving cent percent financial inclusion, besides arranging mega awareness camps on financial literacy.        

Earlier, Lead District Manager Budgam informed the meeting about the overall performance of all banks and line departments of the district for ending quarter 30th June 2020.

Among others, the meeting was attended by CPO, GM DIC, Zonal Head JK Bank, DIO, Convener, Lead District Manager, Director RSETI, Budgam, DDM NABARD and officers of line departments besides representatives of banks operating in the district.
