 DDC Chairperson discusses developmental activities at Gbl

GANDERBAL, JULY 08( KINS ): Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq today convened a joint meeting of concerned officers and PRIs to discuss the developmental activities being carried out by various departments under different schemes, flagship programmes in the district.

The meeting was attended by the Vice-Chairperson, DDC Ganderbal, Bilal Ahmad, DDC members, BDC chairpersons, ADDC, ADC, CPO, ACD, DPO, DySP HQ and other district officers of line departments.

At the outset, the ADDC, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the DDC briefed the meeting about the functioning of DDC and said that the council aims at speedy development and economic upliftment of the district.

The chairperson took a brief appraisal of the implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes and programmes in the district. She exhorted upon all officers to ensure that these schemes are implemented effectively on the ground level.

To ensure speedy development and effective implementation of various flagship programmes at grassroots, the chairperson sought better coordination among PRIs and district officers. She urged upon all DDC members, BDC chairpersons and district officers to work religiously on the ground for overall development of this district.

Earlier, DDC members and BDC chairpersons apprised the chair about the developmental issues of their respective areas. She exhorted upon the line departments to look into issues raised pertaining to their departments and ensure the resolution of genuine issues at an earliest.
