DC Shopian reviews functioning of Revenue Department

SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 03 ( KINS): The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today convened a meeting of revenue officers to review the functioning of Revenue Department.

The DC impressed upon the Revenue Officers to work with dedication, speed up their activities in assessing the damages across the district and also emphasized upon them to work on war-footing basis so that each and every snow damaged orchardist receives compensation in due course of time.

He further added that the leftover Jambandies should be completed within a stipulated time frame and without any delay and asked them for activating their men and machinery in this regard.

Vaishya emphasised the officers to work in mission mode besides coordinating with each other for removing encroachments and furnishing the report on a regular basis to the concerned quarters.

The meeting was informed that the scanning and quality check of revenue records under the DLRMP program is in progress.

The officers briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the eviction of encroachment on State and Kahcharie land, status of digitization process of land records under (DLRMP), updation and writing of Jamabandies, Girdawaris, attestation of pending mutations, collection of fees and pending court cases.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani, Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Shahbaz Ahmad Boda, Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars.( KINS)
