IRP- 11th BN’s Inter – Coy Volleyball Tournament concludes

 

ANANTNAG, DECEMBER 01 ( KINS): An inter – Coy Volleyball tournament which was organised by IRP 11th Battalion Anantnag culminated with great fanfare at DPL Grounds in Anantnag.

DIG South Kashmir Abdul Jabbar, IPS was the chief guest on the function who distributed trophies / Medals among players of winning team and the Runners up.

Speaking on the occasion, he emphasised on the need for continuing such type of sports activities in future as well .

A total 08 teams participated in the tournament and a lot of enthusiasm and positive spirit was witnessed among players and spectators during this tournament. Commandant IRP 11th Battalion Anantnag SSP  Sandeep Mehta JKPS deliberated on the occasion , stressed the players and jawans to keep up with the Physical endurance by sports and other Physical exercises. He encouraged the players and Coy Commanders of the Battalion by appreciating their sportsman spirit and interest that this chilling winter did not affect their morale. He said that many more such events will be organised in future as well . Huge number of Spectators including civilians witnessed the event. The final match was played between C and F coy, which was won by C-Coy with a score of 2-0.

Ct. Faheem Ahmed was adjudged “Man of the Series” and was given a Special Trophy. Besides medals and appreciation letters were also distributed among the winning team.( KINS)
