Srinagar, Jan 12: In an ongoing fight towards combating the menace of drug abuse in Kashmir, Inspector General of Police (IGP) VK Birdi visited a drug de-addiction center in Baramulla. During the visit, he thoroughly assessed the facilities provided to individuals undergoing rehabilitation.
Speaking to the media, IGP VK Birdi expressed his commitment to eradicating drug abuse from Kashmiri society. “We are on our toes to curb drug abuse in Kashmir, and we are successfully uprooting it from our communities,” he declared. The visit aimed to ensure that the rehabilitation process is effectively addressing the needs of those seeking help.
The IGP acknowledged the importance of such centers in providing a supportive environment for individuals struggling with substance abuse.
