Article 370 served as barrier to J&K development: PM Modi

KINS Correspondent

Jammu Feb 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday said that Article 370 served as a barrier to the development of Jammu and Kashmir, hindering progress for seven decades.

This he stated at Moulana Azad Stadium in Jammu after inaugurating over 220 projects worth Rs 32000 Crore.

He said that the BJP government’s decision to revoke this special status has paved the way for lasting peace and development in the region.

Modi criticized the previous ruling families for prioritizing power over the welfare of the people. He highlighted the transformation in J&K, shifting from conflict-related news to a focus on education, connectivity, and development.

The Prime Minister expressed joy over the decline of the 70-year dynasty rule in the region, stressing that youth are now shaping their own futures.

Modi announced significant infrastructure projects and encouraged support for the BJP in upcoming elections. He also mentioned a forthcoming movie on Article 370 to raise awareness about its implications. (KINS)
