Srinagar, Mar 30: The race for the Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency in the upcoming General Elections to the Lok Sabha-2024 has intensified as all 12 validly nominated candidates are set to compete in the polls scheduled for April 19, during Phase-1 of the electoral process.
With the conclusion of the candidature withdrawal period, no candidate opted to step back, ensuring a full-fledged contest for the constituency. The Returning Officer (RO) confirmed that all nominated candidates remained steadfast in their bid for parliamentary representation.
Amidst anticipation and scrutiny, the process of allotting election symbols to the contesting candidates was finalized today by the RO, marking another significant milestone in the electoral process.
