J&K Bank Partners with New India Assurance for Bancassurance Solutions

Srinagar, Apr 02: Strengthening its dedication to providing comprehensive financial services, J&K Bank has forged a Corporate Agency Agreement with New India Assurance Co. Ltd (NIACL), a premier general insurance provider in India.
Under the guidance of the Bank’s Executive Director Sudhir Gupta, the MoU signing ceremony was conducted at the Bank’s Corporate Headquarters. General Manager (Cross Selling) Narjay Gupta represented the Bank, while General Manager (NIACL) Mukta Sharma represented the insurance company. The event was attended by Deputy General Managers Sapna Gupta (Bank) and Kiran Jacob (NIACL), along with senior officers from both organizations.
Emphasizing the Bank’s commitment to offering holistic insurance solutions, Executive Director Sudhir Gupta stressed the importance of ensuring mutual benefits for both organizations and enhancing customer satisfaction.
“This strategic collaboration aims to expand the range of financial protection and insurance solutions available to our customers across various segments. With our Bank’s strong presence in J&K & Ladakh and NIACL’s position as a leading general insurer in India, this partnership will offer convenience and choice to our customers,” said Sudhir Gupta.
General Manager Narjay Gupta expressed optimism about the partnership’s role in increasing insurance penetration. “Through this collaboration, we aim to provide a wider range of insurance products and services, catering to the diverse needs of our clientele. Our focus remains on ensuring customer satisfaction and security,” he remarked.
Mukta Sharma, General Manager at NIACL, highlighted the significance of partnering with J&K Bank, given its prominent position in the region. “We are excited to embark on this new journey with J&K Bank at the beginning of a new financial year. Our shared commitment to serving people aligns with the goal of reducing the gap between insured loss and economic loss,” she stated.
“With J&K witnessing economic progress, both Bank and NIACL can collaborate to ensure that the assets created are adequately insured,” she added.
This collaboration marks the Bank’s sixth Bankassurance partnership, with three each in life and general insurance. NIACL’s insurance products will now be accessible at all J&K Bank branches nationwide, providing customers with a comprehensive range of insurance solutions.
