SIA Jammu Files Supplementary Chargesheet Against Two Rajouri Terrorists

Jammu, May 17: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu has filed a supplementary chargesheet against two terrorists from the KandiBudhal area of Rajouri district, who have been involved in numerous terrorist activities.
Initially arrested by the Police and security forces in Mahore Police Station jurisdiction, these terrorists were found with a large cache of automatic weapons, ammunition, and other war-like stores. Their sustained interrogation led to further recoveries, including sticky grenades, hand grenades, and IEDs.
Given the seriousness of the case and the potential involvement of more terrorist associates, the case was transferred to the SIA Jammu. Through intensive efforts, the SIA discovered that these individuals were responsible for several terrorist acts, including killings, injuring civilians, grenade attacks at a marriage party, and planting IEDs in crowded areas, causing significant damage to government properties.
These terrorists were operating under the directives of a high-ranking “A” grade Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorist, Mohd Qasim alias Salman alias Waseem, from Reasi district, who had exfiltrated to Pakistan for arms training in the 1990s. The accused received substantial quantities of arms and ammunition via drone drops in the Lamberi area of Rajouri, later shifting these to KandiBudhal for terrorist operations on instructions from their Pakistani handlers.
The initial chargesheet was filed by the SIA Jammu on December 29, 2023. Further investigation led to the arrest of two additional associates of this LeT module. Under sustained interrogation, these individuals also confessed to their involvement in multiple terrorist acts and the transportation of weapons from Lamberi to KandiBudhal in association with Talib Hussain Shah, an earlier arrestee.
These arrests have exposed a deep-rooted LeT conspiracy to extend their terrorist activities in Rajouri district and wage war against India’s sovereignty and integrity. The investigation continues as the SIA seeks to apprehend more associates of this LeT module.
