Gwalior, Oct 5 – The Border Security Force (BSF) is well-equipped to combat infiltration, drone attacks, and smuggling, said BSF Director General Daljit Singh Chawdhary on Saturday. He also noted that the force is achieving significant success in its fight against Naxalism.
Speaking at the BSF Academy in Tekanpur, Madhya Pradesh, following the passing out parade of Assistant Commandants, Chawdhary affirmed the BSF’s readiness to secure the nation’s borders. “We are fully capable of preventing infiltration, drone attacks, and smuggling. The BSF is deployed along the country’s borders and is always in action to ensure the safety and security of the nation,” he told reporters.
Chawdhary highlighted the BSF’s continuous achievements in anti-Naxal operations, carried out in coordination with local police forces. He praised the disciplined approach of the force in handling such operations.
The event also marked the graduation of 77 new officers, including four women, after they completed 52 weeks of rigorous training. Of the new Assistant Commandants, 15 were selected through direct recruitment, while 62 came from departmental recruitment. Chawdhary commended the graduates, stating that they are well-prepared to face the challenges in securing the country’s borders.
The BSF Academy in Tekanpur was lauded by Chawdhary as one of the finest institutes for officer training, continuing a legacy of sacrifice and glory for the force.
