Baramulla Police Crack Down on Traffic Violations: 147 Bikers Booked, 75 Vehicles Seized

Srinagar , OCt 18 ( KINS) : Following orders from, SSP Baramulla Mohammad Zaid Malik-JKPS, the Baramulla Police launched an extensive drive targeting frequent traffic violations, which have caused numerous accidents and casualties in recent months. The campaign focused on offenses like triple riding, driving without helmets, and reckless driving.

A police spokesperson reported that 75 two-wheelers involved in triple riding and helmetless driving were seized, and 147 violators were booked under relevant legal sections, with cases registered at local police stations. Investigations are ongoing.

The drive is aimed at curbing traffic violations and enhancing road safety for law-abiding citizens. The public has praised the police for their efforts in maintaining safer roads, with the operation set to continue across the district. ( KINS)
