J&K Govt implements NEP-2020 across all degree colleges: Minister Sakeena Itoo
Srinagar, Mar 15 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir’s Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, Sakeena Itoo, informed the Legislative Assembly that the Higher Education Department has successfully implemented the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 across all Government Degree Colleges in the Union Territory.
Responding to a query in the Assembly, the Minister stated that colleges in J&K are already offering job-oriented and skill-based courses aimed at enhancing students’ employability and practical learning. She highlighted that Business Management programs are available in various institutions, but Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a standalone program has not yet been introduced due to its evolving nature. However, AI is integrated into the curriculum of Computer Applications courses.(KINS)
