J&K LG Manoj Sinha gives assent to three key bills passed by Assembly

Jammu, Apr 7 (KINS): The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was informed on Monday that Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has given formal assent to three important bills recently passed by the House.

Assembly Secretary Manoj Kumar Pandit read out the official communication during the session, stating that the Lieutenant Governor approved the bills on March 25, 2025.

The three bills granted assent include:

The Jammu and Kashmir Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2025 (L.A. Bill No. 1 of 2025)

The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill, 2025 (L.A. Bill No. 2 of 2025)

The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill, 2025 (L.A. Bill No. 3 of 2025)

These bills pertain to amendments in the state’s GST framework and financial appropriations for the upcoming fiscal year, marking a key legislative milestone in the functioning of the newly restored Assembly.(KINS)
