Khyber cement powers Kashmiri rowers towards National Glory and Global Dreams

Srinagar, Apr 21 (KINS): Reinforcing its legacy as one of Kashmir’s most trusted and socially responsible brands, Khyber Cement has extended its wholehearted support to a 35-member rowing team from Jammu & Kashmir, set to compete at the prestigious Federation Cup (Men, Women & Mixed) from April 21 to 24, 2025, at the Bhalswa Boat Club in New Delhi.

The official flag-off ceremony was held on Sunday morning at Zabarwan Park, Boulevard Road, in the presence of Mr. Tanvir Sadiq, MLA of Zadibal, who lauded the determination and talent of the young athletes. Representing Khyber Cement was Mr. Wasim Ahmed Khan, Chief of Sales & Customer Relations, reaffirming the brand’s commitment to empowering youth and fostering community pride through sporting excellence.

“At Khyber Cement, we don’t just build with strength—we build dreams, ambition, and a future that our youth can be proud of,” said Mr. Umar Tramboo, Director – Corporate & Strategy, Khyber Cement. “Supporting this rowing team is a natural extension of our philosophy. Kashmir deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated on the biggest stages. We’re proud to be the wind beneath their oars as they row towards national and international excellence.”

The Federation Cup not only represents a premier domestic competition but also serves as a key qualifier for the 17th World Rowing Championship, slated to be held in Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany, from July 16 to 20, 2025.

As these young athletes prepare to make waves on the national and global stage, Khyber Cement stands firmly behind them—not just as a sponsor, but as a symbol of resilience, aspiration, and the spirit of Kashmir.

Whether through building enduring infrastructure or nurturing world-class talent, Khyber Cement remains more than just cement—it is the pride, promise, and pulse of Kashmir.(KINS)
