Adequate availability of fuel and LPG across J&K; oil industry assures uninterrupted supply

Srinagar, May 18 (KINS): The overall supply position of fuel and LPG across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir remains stable and adequate, State Level Coordinator, Oil Industry, Himanshu Sharma said on Monday.

In a statement issued here, he said that the entire supply chain, including terminals, depots and retail outlets, is functioning smoothly without any disruption.

He informed that the Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have confirmed that the availability of essential petroleum products, including petrol, diesel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), remains normal and uninterrupted across Jammu and Kashmir.

“Fuel stocks are being continuously monitored and replenishment activities are progressing smoothly at all locations,” he said.

Shri Sharma further stated that LPG supplies to domestic consumers are being prioritized and maintained normally across the Union Territory. He added that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure uninterrupted delivery to consumers.

The Oil Industry, he said, is maintaining close coordination on logistics, stock movement and retail operations to ensure seamless availability of fuel across the region.

Appealing to the public not to indulge in panic buying, Shri Sharma advised citizens to continue normal consumption patterns and rely only on official communications issued by Oil Marketing Companies for accurate and verified information regarding fuel availability.(KINS))
